With changes in code, technology advancements, and the advent of LED color tuning, lighting controls are becoming an increasing important and ever-changing design challenge for lighting professionals. Simultaneously, these industry changes allow design teams the opportunity to better impact the end user and open the door to human-centric design. Please join the IES Chicago chapter on November 16th for a lighting controls showcase of the latest technology and a preview of future advancements in the lighting controls space.

Manufactuers who are displaying: Acuity, Crestron, Eaton, Hubbell, Lutron, RAB, and Wattstopper.

Lighting controls manufacturers will be joining us for a hands-on product tradeshow demonstrating both current and future product, and a CEU on Tunable White (available for AIA credit) will be offered.

CEU Summary:
This CEU will take participants through:
the different types of light spectrum control
the color tuning abilities of tunable white fixtures
design challenges
how to reduce risk and meet client’s sequence of operations requirements on color tuning project
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Describe the fundamental categories of spectrum control with LEDs
Analyze the color tuning features of tunable white fixtures
Identify challenges with tunable white
Evaluate the feasibility of meeting a sequence of operations with various fixture types

The intent of this program is to allow our manufacturer partners to exhibit their new and cutting-edge lighting control technologies, with the goal of educating our local membership on not only the available controls on the market today, but also the future of the industry.
